STAIND: 'Rockline' Appearance Available For Streaming
October 16, 2008Massachusetts rockers STAIND were the featured guests on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" with host Bob Coburn on Monday, October 13. The program is now available for streaming at this location.
STAIND vocalist Aaron Lewis recently announced that he'll play a handful of solo dates in January and February, according to The Pulse of Radio. Lewis traditionally heads out for some solo acoustic gigs shortly after the New Year. He's also been on the road with STAIND this fall, promoting the band's new "The Illusion of Progress" record, but told The Pulse of Radio that he has no problems balancing the two. "It's something I've wanted to do always," he said. "Before I ever started in this band, the acoustic thing is what I did. That's what my dad did when I was a kid, and it's something I've always wanted to do. If it can co-exist with STAIND, then I'll really kind of be having my cake and eating it too."
"The Illusion of Progress" debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard album chart in August, selling 92,000 copies in its first week of release.
That snapped the band's streak of three straight No. 1 debuts, which started with 2001's "Break The Cycle" and ended in 2005 with "Chapter V".
